*RONB is a hybrid-synchronous course modality that combines the advantages of synchronous in-person and synchronous online instruction.
Students benefit from social interaction and the opportunity to form working groups during in-person class meetings. At the same time, synchronous online meetings on Zoom reduce travel time and make participation more convenient.
The first two class meetings are held in person. After that, the class meets in person every other week. As a result, approximately 25% of class sessions are in person and 75% are online.
All class sessions—both in person and online—are streamed live on Zoom and video-recorded. Recordings and lecture slides are available to enrolled students.
All exams are administered in person and are open-book and open-notes.
Instruction uses two statistical software packages: Stata and R. Students may choose either package and are also welcome to use other statistical software if they prefer.
